The Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counselling Service provides specialist AOD counselling for women with AOD issues and other interrelated issues such as trauma, domestic and family violence, mental health and homelessness. Counselling can be packaged into 4, 8 or 12 x weekly sessions, with extended options available. Counselling services can be offered as a continuation of care option for women who are, or have, accessed other Toora Women Inc AOD programs (including day programs and residential services). Counsellors also deliver a ‘Healing Trauma Group’ four times a year, with sessions focused on psycho-education about power and abuse, the process of trauma, trauma symptoms, anger, grounding and self-care and respectful relationships.1
